Model no: 3: The outline of the project is selection of supply from mains, generator, and inverter and solar automatically by using microcontroller concept. As it is not feasible to provide all 4 different sources of supply, one source with alternate switches are provided to get the same function. In this project we are having 4 switches which we consider as 4 different source of supply. When we press any of the switches it shows the absence of that particular source which is connected to microcontroller as input signals. Here we are using 8051 family microcontroller. The output of microcontroller is given to the ULN2003 this acts as a relay driver. This can drive up to 7 relays. The relays which are used hear are 12V relay. The output can be observed using lamp which is getting uninterrupted power supply from other means if main supply is cut off. The power supply consists of a step down transformer 230/12V, which steps down the voltage to 12V AC. This is converted to DC using a Bridge rectifier. The ripples are removed using a capacitive filter and it is then regulated to +5V using a voltage regulator 7805 which is required for the operation of the microcontroller and other components.

Model no: 8: The project is taken up for a three phase solid state relay that incorporates three single phase units. Each phase is controlled individually by a power TRIAC with optional snubber network (RS, CS) and an optically isolated TRIAC driver with current limit by a constant current arrangement. All LEDs are connected in series and can be controlled by one logic gate or controller. One microcontroller is used to generate output pulses after zero voltage pulse to verify as to whether the load is getting the switched on at zero cross of the supply wave form or not. The zero crossing feature of the TRIAC driver, (an opto-isolator) ensures lower generated noise avoiding sudden inrush currents on resistive loads and moderate inductive loads. Here in this project we are using two push buttons which are used as up down buttons which are used for increasing the speed of the AC motor. This buttons are given to microcontroller as inputs. On the base of input signal from push button the MOC3063 is used as a switching element this is the opto-isolator is zero crossing switching element. On the base of this switching element TRIAC will be triggered.

An electronic project of mine using a PIC micro-controller that I programmed to manipulate two arrays of amber LEDs into a semblance of shifty eyes that blink. The eyes are mounted on a lamp post, in our living room, as if to give the lamp a personality. Fun Fact: the sound track is derived from a recording of the chipper that was running outside our apartment window the day they cut down the big eucalyptus trees that gave our 3rd story home its namesake: Tree House. I clipped a short segment from the recording and then using Audacity, I slowed it way down (by something like a factor of 10) using the Change Speed effects tool. Then I did a Fade-In on the first 90% of the clip and added some slow phasing.

Model no: 14A: The main motto of the project is to operate the curtain raiser to open and close with a swing motor Wireless technology. In this project thesis, we are pressing a button from a TV remote which acts a transmitter and send signal to and it is received by IR receiver, the output signal from receiver is fed to a programmable microcontroller from 8051 family, is engaged to actuate the Swing Motor to rotate in forward and reverse direction indicating the curtain raiser open /close with help of relays which is driven by an IC ULN2003 (relay driver). The power supply consists of a step down transformer 230/12V, which steps down the voltage to 12V AC. This is converted to DC using a Bridge rectifier and it is then regulated to +5V using a voltage regulator 7805 which is required for the operation of the microcontroller and other components.

Model no:7 : Incandescent lamps exhibit very low resistance in cold condition. Thus at the time of switching from cold state it draws very high current. Thus many lamps fail at the time of switch ON. Engaging two SCRs in anti parallel or a TRIAC the switching ON time can be precisely controlled by firing after detecting the zero cross point of the waveform of supply voltage. This should result in current waveform rising from zero at the time of switching ON there by increasing the life of lamp. The project is having comparator which is used for ZVS output. The ZVS (ZERO VOLTAGE START) is given as reference interrupt to microcontroller. The microcontroller is of 8051 family which is of 8bit. In this we are using push button as switch which is used as reference interrupt to microcontroller and using that interrupt we give signal to opto-isolator. The opto-isolator used in the project is used as switching element using this we will trigger the back to back SCR. On the base of SCR triggering the AC lamp can be controlled to ON at low voltage.

Model no. 42: AC motors have a great advantage of being relatively inexpensive and very reliable. Induction motors in particular are very robust and therefore used in many domestic appliances such as washing machines, vacuum cleaners, water pumps, and others. The induction motor may be regarded as practically a constant-speed machine, the difficulty of varying its speed economically constitutes one of its main disadvantages. This drawback is overcome by using thyristor controlled cycloconverter that enables the speed to be lowered in steps by Microcontroller triggering a SCR bank of 8nos in F, F/2 & F/3 duly interfaced through opto-isolators. A pair of switches is used to input logical signal for the desired output.

This video shows my implementation of Pong on an ATmega1280 dev board (AVR 51 microcontroller). The game uses the accelerometer of the respective Wii mote to calculate the racket position of player 1 or 2. To communicate with the Wii motes, it uses a bluetooth module. Furthermore a bundled MP3 and SD-card module is used to play sounds from unreal tournament (stored on the SD-card), each time a player scores a point. This game was an exercise of the microcontroller course at TU Vienna in 2012S.

As a part of a project funded by the Government of Republic of Srpska, we, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Department of Electronics, have developed a microcontroller system for wheelchair control by head movements. This kind of interface is intended to grant quadriplegics a level of autonomous motion, by allowing them to control their wheelchair by head movements. We are using inertial sensors to track head motion, thus enabling the MCU to translate the motion into wheelchair commands. The MCU is running an algorithm developed through our project. Motion recognition is much simpler than DTW, HMM and AI methods. More details will be added later. Contact: aleksandar.pajkanovic [ at ] etfbl.net

Bloom is a serial port to TCP/IP socket redirector for Microsoft Windows. It can be used to map a serial device, such as an Arduino microcontroller or a Shimmer wearable health sensor, to a TCP/IP port, thus network-enabling the device. In this video, we demonstrate how to use Bloom to control a simple Flash game running in a web-browser using an Arduino, a potentiometer, and a digital push button. For a while, around a week, I have been working on a new project - VIKI (name from I,Robot). The idea is to make an artificially intelligent automation system that not only recognizing but also understand what the user asks and accomplishes the task. For now, it is just a processing sketch that, using voce library, can understand a few words and accordingly give commands to an Arduino microcontroller via serial port. This is just a prototype and Im still working on it to make it presentable and in some way useful too. To know more about me and my projects visit - www.robocasters.com

Progressing with the DIY GOTO controller for the homemade telescope mount. Here we can see the worm starting off at sidereal speed, and then being moved at various speeds back and forth. Still a bit jerky at the start of the speed change, but getting there. The system consists of a Maxon motor + 512cpr encoder and 30:1 gearbox controlled by an Arduino Mega microcontroller. An Avago counter IC is used to keep track of the encoder. Trying to measure a 512cpr encoder on a motor running at 5000rpm is a job for a dedicated counter IC and should not be tried with interrupts on an Arduino.
