Just last week, we were honoured with an invitation to witness another secret wedding ceremony of Chris Attoh and elegant Yvonne Nelson at the Aburi gardens. Indeed, the set up and props could change the mindset of even a catholic priest to have a spectacular wedding as such. Nadia Buari, Eddie Watson, Anita Erskine, Tana from Nollywood and fame director Pascal Amafo were some of the celebrities that were presents at the colourful wedding ceremony. And for the very first time, the bride arrived on time, gracing the occasion with the bridal keyboard tunes in an immaculate dress. Paparazzi were also alert as Yvonne walks to her will-be husband and took her seat besides him. One couldnt have believed that the occasion was actually a scene in a movie as invitations were given to the biological parents of the various actors, making the whole thing look real. As we were getting soaked in the matrimonial ceremony, songstress Efya stormed onto the set and ruined the ceremony with what seemed like a real day norm until we heard Cut from Pascal Amafo. Indeed, every musician is an actor; as Efya took it on as if shes being acting all her life. Sources say the production is a collaboration of Yvonne Nelson and Media GH.

New York Times scribe Patrick Healy confirms The Big Bang Theory stars sexuality as part of a profile of the 39-year-old actor, who is currently starring on Broadway in a revival of Harvey. The revelation comes late in the article, when Healy describes Parsons role in the 2011 revival of Larry Kramers HIV/AIDS crisis drama, The Normal Heart. Writes Healy: The Normal Heart resonated with him on a few levels: Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship, and working with an ensemble again onstage was like nourishment, he said. Parsons sexuality has been the source of media speculation for several years. Though the Times doesnt identify Parsons partner, the actor thanked Todd Spiewak during a 2010 Emmy Award acceptance speech. He has shown up to awards shows and made public theater contributions together with Spiewak, reportedly an art director, on several previous occasions. The National Enquirer also reported that Parsons and Spiewak were at one time engaged and planning a Massachusetts-based Christmas wedding, which has since allegedly been called off because Parsons doesnt want children. None of this has ever been confirmed nor denied by Parsons representatives, who have continually declined to speak about their clients sexuality, according to AfterElton.

I picked this track up from the very first Ronnie Hawkins Roulette album from 59 entitled RONNIE HAWKINS. In fact, Ive recorded quite a few songs from both his first Roulette albums (the 2nd one called *MR. DYNAMO) and was a BIG fan of his (still is!) ever since I first spotted his raucious version of Chuck Berrys Thirty Days, which he had re-entitled Forty Days. I recorded a couple of different versions of Odessa way back in the early 70s, but erased everyone except this one which I re-edited in the early 80s using my Country Gent for the lead parts. Hope you enjoy... TRIVIA: Ronald Ronnie Hawkins was born January 10, 1935 in Huntsville, Arkansas, just two days after the birth of Elvis Presley. Also known as Rompin Ronnie, Mr. Dynamo or simply The Hawk and cousin to the late rockabilly artist Dale Hawkins (of Suzie Q fame). At the age of nine, his family moved to nearby Fayetteville, Arkansas. After graduating from high school, he studied physical education at the University of Arkansas where he formed his first band, The Hawks, touring with them throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri.
